Lotus Kabir - Sands Of Salzaar

Lotus Kabir

Anything made of gold can become a weapon for members of House Kabir. Each member of the House has their own unique golden weapon.

Lotus' weapon is a golden bell. She has an immense gift for magic and considerable arcane power, but she cannot control it, often with destructive results.

She left her home to find a solution to her problem.

This skill tree mixes support, control, and arcane power, bringing shields, healing, disarm effects, and abilities that scale with the amount of Utar accumulated.

Skill Summary

Attack and control
  • Golden Wave and Golden Judgement deal area damage and apply Knockback, Dazed, or Silence, limiting enemy actions.
Shields and immunity
  • Golden Shield and Forbidden Shield provide protection and control immunity.
  • Dazzling Light Shield can punish attackers with Dazed.
Healing and sustain
  • Golden Healing restores health when applying shields.
  • Bell of Volatility generates random waves that may heal allies, charm enemies, or deal extra damage.
Scaling with Utar
  • Gold Begets Gold helps a bit with Utar accumulation in early and mid game.
  • Golden Balance increases the damage of Golden Judgement according to total Utar.
  • Law of Life of Gold is the most absurd ability of the tree: it scales without limit and in late game can grant millions of extra health points to all allied units at the start of combat. It is the only skill in the game without a limiter, making it by far the most broken of the set.
Magic resistance
  • Gold Refraction, Anti-Curse Goldware, and Arcane Blessing reduce different types of magic damage, reinforcing arcane defense.

How to Learn

Secret Art of Gold can be acquired by reaching 60 favor points with Lotus Kabir — just talk to her.

In summary: the tree combines defensive support, healing, and enemy control, but the big highlight is Law of Life of Gold, which in late game becomes the most broken skill in the game, capable of turning fragile, high area-damage troops into practically immortal units. Note: summons do not receive the health bonus from Law of Life of Gold.

This skill tree focuses on trade, generating Utar and Jade, and negotiating goods. The style revolves around accumulating resources, expanding inventory, and seizing business opportunities, with mechanics involving travel, contacts, and risk of profit or loss.

Main Characteristics

  • Resource generation: Selling On the Go provides continuous Utar; Jadeware Buyer grants Jade in weekly cycles.
  • Negotiation and trade: Traveling Shop unlocks access to common items; Good Business Opportunity offers discounted goods; Glib Tongue modifies prices, increasing item value.
  • Inventory management: Hauling Bag expands carrying capacity.
  • External interactions: Establishing Contacts unlocks trade permissions after travel; Goods Peddling involves risk and reward, with potential profit or loss after expeditions.

Skill Tree Highlights

  • Economy and accumulation of Utar and Jade.
  • Inventory expansion and access to goods.
  • Negotiation and periodic trade opportunities.
  • Risk and reward mechanics in business travel.

Detail to consider

This tree may seem advantageous in a first playthrough, since it guarantees a steady income of Utar and Jade. However, there are more efficient ways to obtain these resources: capturing enemy troops and heroes.

  • Selling prisoners: captured troops can be sold, yielding Utar and Jade (higher troop level = more Utar; higher tier = more Jade).
  • Releasing prisoners: freeing troops grants XP crystals and resources such as wood and iron; freeing heroes always provides a random piece of equipment plus either a skill point crystal or a talent point.
  • Faction leaders: may pay up to 30k Utar to recover captured heroes.

Regarding skill points: in lower difficulties the evolution cap is smaller, requiring careful investment. In higher difficulties the cap increases, allowing enough points through leveling alone, without relying heavily on crystals.

In the end, this trade-focused tree tends to be less of a priority compared to the main combat trees of each character. The Jade skill may have some value in a first run, but overall it depends heavily on player choice and progression style. Ultimately, the combined mechanics of selling and releasing prisoners offer more varied and valuable rewards, making them a stronger long-term option.
