Alaf Jahim - Sands Of Salzaar

Alaf Jahim

He was a mere youth when he came to the Great Desert to earn his living as a caravan escort.

Today, he is well renowned as muscle for hire. He has escorted too many travelers to count; the bandits he's defeated too numerous to mention.

But time has not spared this hero. Alaf Jahim is now over 60 years old and isn't as energetic as he was in his youth. The more difficult escorting tasks are slowly moving beyond his grasp, but his name still strikes fear in the hearts of bandits. His legendary status amongst the sands remains.

Skill Summary

Free recruitment
  • Allows recruiting troops at no cost, ensuring constant replenishment and accelerating army growth in early game.
Extra experience
  • Recruited troops receive significant XP, facilitating the evolution process and becoming one of the best options to speed up initial development.
Dependence on team composition
  • In late game, usefulness may vary: the most impactful heroes are Riq (reduces troop injury chance by 49%) and Yousef (reduces by 29%).
Note: Riq is extremely strong in early game, but in late game her reduction becomes excessive when combined with talents (+30%) and tier 5–6 troops, potentially "surpassing" 100%. Yousef alone, when combined with talents and high-tier troops, is already sufficient to guarantee no troop losses.
Wakata and Hu’ud (both reduce by 9%) are mentioned as alternatives, but their individual impact compared to Riq or Yousef has not been fully tested.
  • Additionally, talents that decrease injuries and tier 5 and 6 troops drastically reduce the chances of disband.
  • With the combination of cited heroes + talents + high-tier troops, the chance of reducing injuries reaches practically 100%, making it impossible to lose troops to disband (although, when defeated in battle, some troops may still be captured by enemies).

In summary: it is an excellent tree for early game, ensuring constant and evolved troops at no cost. However, its importance decreases in late game, since heroes, talents, and high-tier troops practically nullify the risk of disband.
